Ring and wheel rolling

By analyzing the results of simulation it is possible to predict correct forming, under filling parameters and deforming forces on the tools.

For the simulation of rolling processes in QForm RingRolling special algorithms for a finite-element mesh creation on a rolling tool were made where a stationary mesh is applied that is fine only where the workpiece is in contact with the tool.

This allows for constant contact between the workpiece and the tool. Such an approach significantly accelerates the simulation process.
